In front of American Embassy
The terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 greatly saddened all of us. I went to the United States Embassy in central Tokyo with my friend on 14 September.

Flowers and messages
On Friday afternoon, there were flowers and messages full of sympathy. We laid small bouquets to pray for all.

On Saturday
On 15 September, it was quiet in the area unlike weekdays. When we parked a car nearby, a police officer came to ask us to leave soon. It is under caution.

People making a queue
Yet, we saw more people coming to pay their respects to those killed in New York. There are still 24 Japanese missing.
