I went to Northampton, MA in U.S. to attend the 2nd SERCI congress held in Smith College. The Hotel Northampton is one of the historical buildings in MA. |

When I asked their front staff how much it would be to send a postcard to Japan, they said no idea. They had no intention to check with someone. This was one of the BEST services which I have ever experienced in the hotel. They must be a great local hotel of the United States. |

To be very honest, the city gave me a very strange impression. Their composition of the entire population is interesting and they have a very unique policy, indeed. They enjoy "diversity" and "freedom", I should say... |

| Smith College, one of the seven sisters was founded in 1871. This museum is brand-new. I was sorry that their collection was closed for some days. |

| United Airlines are "#1 ON TIME*." The funniest thing is that they even put a note* to explain what "ON TIME" means. This is very American. Don't you think? |
